A Recent Trip To The Home Of The Komets
One of the truly great building in the midwest is Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne Indiana,
the home of the International Hockey League's Fort Wayne Komets. The Komets are the two-time defending Turner Cup Cup Champions. The building has been remodled a few times to its present
form that seats over 10,000 people. This view is from the seventh floor or the press box where the broadcasters and members
of the press sit. The area is accessible by two elevators and some walking. When this place is sold out it is as loud as an
arena that sits more than 15,000. The Komets are one of the most successful professional hockey franchises in North America
and have a rich tradition that may be unmatched anywhere.

This is the brand new scoreboard that was added to War Memorial
Coliseum. From anywhere in the arena you can see the score, replays of the key plays and much more.

One of the big reasons for the success of the Fort Wayne
Komets is the support by business community. As you can see, almost every inch of the ice is covered by ice logos. All of
the dasherboards are also full. This along with a huge season ticket and fan base are reasons for their longevity.

Fans start to arrive to a Tuesday night game for the Fort
Wayne Komets as they hosted the expansion Dayton Gems. This place quickly fills up and more than 6,000 people attended this
game.
