Puska on Pucks, The Original Internet Hockey Show recently visted Hockey Heritage North located in Kirkland Lake, Ontario Canada. Hockey Heritage North is a unique Hall of Fame that celebrates the rich hockey history in Northern Ontario. Hockey Heritage North featured many different displays from hockey jerseys, media center, theatre, head shots of those who call Northern Ontario home, and much, much more. Kirkland Lake Ontario Canada is located approximately seven hours north of Toronto Ontario Canada, just off the TransCanada Highway. The city is known for mining but has also produced some exciting hockey players including Ralph Backstrom and Daren Puppa just to name a few.

This mural displays some of the old hockey arenas in Northeastern Ontario. Historic McIntyre Arena in Schumacher near Timmins; Englheart Arena in Engleheart near New Liskeard.

These jerseys are of some current and former NHL players that were originally from Northern Ontario including Steve Sullivan of the Nashville Predators.

This is a terrific display of headshots of those former professional and NHL players who are originally from Northeastern Ontario

Many hockey players will remember the old skate shop where they use to get their skates sharpened before going to the rink. There are many great stories shared by those who worked in the shop of youngsters who dropped by and have gone on to the NHL.
